Most firms only test, or only treat. Rodal does both — we assess your floor, make it slip-resistant, then re-test it to HSE standards and issue a Certificate of Conformity. One supplier, accountable from problem to proof. Nationwide, since 2003.
Trusted across hotels, healthcare, leisure and hospitality

Most people arrive with one of these problems. Pick your route — each one goes straight to the right solution.
Independent, HSE-preferred pendulum slip testing on-site or in our lab. Your digital report is emailed to you for compliance and due diligence — and if we treat the floor, a Certificate of Conformity follows once it passes re-testing.
Arrange a slip test →Long-lasting anti-slip treatments and coatings for tile, vinyl, stone and wood — internal or external. Effective up to 3 years with the right maintenance, no need to replace the floor.
Get a treatment quote →Enamel baths and acrylic shower trays made slip-resistant in place — no replacement, no refit, no room stripped out. Plus pool surrounds, changing rooms and gym floors.
Baths & shower trays →Enamel baths and acrylic shower trays are among the most common slip risks in a hotel bedroom — and the most disruptive to put right by ripping them out. We make them slip-resistant where they are, in about 20 minutes a bath — and an enamel bath can be used straight afterwards.
Replacing a bath or a shower tray means a room out of action, a plumber, a tiler and a bill. An anti-slip treatment works on the surface itself, so the fitting stays exactly where it is — and the room goes back into service instead of into a refurbishment schedule.
Under Regulation 12 of the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, your floors must be suitable for use — free from anything, including slipperiness, that puts people at risk. Slips and trips are the single most common cause of non-fatal workplace injury in Britain, and every incident carries real cost in compensation, lost time and reputation. A treated, tested floor removes that risk quickly and affordably.
Protect your businessThe pendulum test is the HSE's preferred method for measuring slip resistance, because it works in the wet conditions where slips actually happen. We test in dry and wet conditions, in three directions, to BS EN 16165:2021 (Annex C) and the UKSRG Guidelines, Issue 6 (Jan 2024) — on-site or from samples sent to our lab.
| High slip potential | 0 – 24 |
| Moderate slip potential | 25 – 35 |
| Low slip potential | 36+ |
Pendulum Test Value (PTV). After treatment we target a PTV of 36+ (low slip potential) in the relevant conditions and issue a Certificate of Conformity as your paper trail of due diligence. PTV is assessed as part of a wider risk assessment, not a simple pass/fail.
The 36 threshold traces back to Building Research Station studies in the late 1950s, still the basis of UK slip-risk assessment today.
